Memo, memo, who wants a memo....

Our big meeting is this afternoon. We got a memo on the big announcement and it turns out to be exactly what I expected. People are approaching me as to what that means for my position. Administration has decided to move the middle school this summer. It was to be delayed as the gym has not been built yet, but an empty building that costs large amounts of money does not sit well with people. I can't even fathom what will happen in the end, but I have a contract and that takes me to August of 05. I shall worry at a later date. Specialty subjects are being reduced to phase out insurance costs for extra faculty. (my opinion) They have to consider what they are offering here to attract the public. Above and beyond God that is.... I mean... Well ya know what I mean.
A friend of G's mom went to March in Washington D.C. this past weekend. She is in her 70's and she still escorts women into Planned Parenthood offices around the area. She can be pretty radical when provoked. I consider myself to be a conservative liberal if there is such a thing. This is part of my identity crisis caused by who I am and my "signing up with a religious organization" as G puts it. If I were to have gotten pregnant in high school I would rather have faced God than my earthly father and would have considered abortion. So to say I am against it would be hypocritical. I have also through my undergrad work in Social Welfare, witnessed the lives of children so horrible that it would have been better for them to not have been born. I stand my ground on that one even though it goes so against the grain. I do however, have a problem with abortion as a simple out. I wish more people would consider adoption, but many can't, or won't. I struggle with this whole issue and usually remain silent.
Silently thinking.....
